Obama: “I didn’t campaign on the public option.”

Obama said the public option “has become a source of ideological contention between the left and right.” But, he added, “I didn’t campaign on the public option.”

[Washington Post]

Actually, Mr. President, you most certainly did.

UPDATE: Think Progress has more.

That as a lifelong Democrat really pissed me off at Prez Obama because that was one reason I voted for the numbnuts. He said in his speeches and on the pre-election material I was sent and kept that he was for universal single-payer health care and that’s why I voted for him in the primary AND election. Then he plays Republican and says stupid crap like that. That’s a slap in the face to dumbasses like me who voted for him. I sent him an e-mail (I didn’t swear in it, but I wanted to!) and told him how displeased with him I was. I’m more used to complaining to Repubs for their assinine behavior!
